Should you speak your mind?⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ The Should you speak your mind?⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ The eternal question. Should you speak up for what you believe, even if it goes against the norm? Even if it breaks tradition, creates conflict or goes against 'the narrative'?⠀ ⠀ Like my video mentions, there are lots of people in this world and that means there will be lots of different beliefs, values, thoughts and opinions.⠀ ⠀ In today's quagmire of social media, speaking your opinions and voicing your concerns can lead to being victimised, ridiculed, bullied and 'cancelled'.⠀ ⠀ If you want to feel confident, stay strong and true to your own values, what do you think the best approach should be? Stay quiet? Don't tell the truth when questioned? Avoid speaking to anyone... ever?⠀ ⠀ I turned to my friend Lana Hall, the psychologist and the mastermind behind the 'Slow Life Project' @slowlifeprojectco and asked if she could share some words of advice when it comes to staying true to yourself.⠀ ⠀ We'll be streaming an Instagram Live chat this week - hopefully this Friday (29th) - where we'll discuss this issue and hear what Lana would suggest. ⠀ ⠀ How do you react when someone's opinion or behaviour doesn't match yours? Stress and anxiety is sky-rocketing.⠀ ⠀ So I held a free meditation session to share some simple ideas and techniques that will hopefully help the attendees to bring some calm relaxation into an ordinarily stress and anxious day.⠀ ⠀ So, a heartfelt thanks to the 140 people that attended.
